2013 UNIVERSITY DEBATE HOLDS, JUNE 12 & 20

The 2013 University Debate will hold as follows: PRELIMINARY STAGE         Date: Wednesday, June 12, 2013                Time: 11:00 a.m. Venue: Main Auditorium, UNILAG, Akoka. Topic: Should the National Youth Service Corps Scheme be Discontinued? FINAL STAGE                        Date: Thursday, June 13, 2013        Time: 11:00 a.m. Venue: Main Auditorium, UNILAG, Akoka. Topic: Should the National Youth Service Corps Scheme Faculties are to conduct their debate between now and Friday, May 31, 2013. Staff Advisers are to forward the name of the Debater representing their Faculties to the Dean, Student Affairs Division on or before Monday, June 3, 2013.  The Criteria for assessment of debaters shall be as follow: a.      Contents                                30 marks b.     Appearance                           10 marks c.      Persuasiveness                       20 marks d.     Fluency/Diction                      20 marks e.      Comportment/Poise               15 marks f.        Time Management                  5 marks       Total              100
