UNILAG ADDED TO MY RATINGS - XCAPE

A rising rap artist, Olatunji Olanrewaju Azeez, a student of University of Lagos, has disclosed that being a UNILAG student really influences and contributes to his ratings.

The 200 level student of the department of Human Kinetics and Health Education currently have a single titled “AINT NO STOPPING US” and he is also on the remix with Burna Boy and

ERU N’SOPE with Olamide.

It would be recalled that in December 2011, the rapper, also known as Xcape was supposed to sign a record deal with a South African record label but the deal failed to see the light of the day. According to the Yoruba rapper, the deal was not a favourable one, prompting him to turn it down.

The Ogun state born rapper, has performed in many shows within and outside campus which include Felaberation 2012 alongside Tuface, Wizkid, and Olamide. He also performed during his matriculation ceremony in 2011 at Main Auditorium, UNILAG and was recalled to perform again after thrilling the audience. He also represented the University at the MTN Funlink campus concert in his first year as an Akokaite.

Xcape, who many believe raps like Dagrin said in a chat with UNILAG GONG that being a student of  the University of Lagos has opened a lot opportunities and made him to be well rated in various shows he has performed.

He resides in the Great Elkanemi hall in the University of Lagos.
